Description:
Your tour begins with a pick up in the morning and drive to the world renowned Concha y Toro Vineyard, one of the largest and perhaps most important wine exporters of Chile located south of Santiago city in the fertile Maipo Valley.
Founded in 1883, the vineyard sits within a beautiful park next to the old family mansion called "La Chascona" that dates back to the 19th Century. Our visit to the vineyard includes a tour of the grounds, facilities, historical museum, centenarian cellars, and of course, wine tasting.
The best-known wines produced by Concha y Toro are: Don Melchor, Marques de Casa Concha, and Casillero del Diablo.
Next, you will travel through the beautiful Maipo River valley close to the Andes mountains to the town of San Jose de Maipo.
San Jose is a country village laid out in the traditional chessboard grid pattern with the Plaza de Armas (Main Square) in the center. Adobe architecture lends the village a Colonial air.
After relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the town, the Chilean countryside and the fresh mountain air of the Andes, you’ll return to Santiago.
This tour included a short city tour from Santiago.
