Description:
The most important building is the La Moneda Palace, the current seat of the government formerly the home of Chilean presidents until 1958.
The tour continues along the streets of the downtown area to the Main Square surrounded by the Cathedral Metropolitana of the XVIII century, the National Historical Museum, and the Central Post Office. When leaving the downtown area, the tour proceeds to the Forestal Park passing in front of the Fine Arts Museum towards Bellavista, the bohemian quarter of Santiago.
Then, we ascend the San Cristobal hill, a beautiful public park dominated by the monumental sculpture of Virgin Mary (36 meter high) via the Funicular (named a national monument in November 2000). From this site, enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
Afterwards, we descend via the "teleferico" (aerial tramway) to have lunch at a local restaurant ( NOT INCLUDED ).
We continue to the hotel/airport.
