Depart from the cruise ship pier and begin your tour through the city of Punta Arenas. During this short drive, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the colourful roofs of the city, the Magellan Strait, and Tierra del Fuego Island in the background. Continue to the Maggiorino Borgatello Museum, founded by Salesian missionaries and noted for excellent exhibits illustrating the habitat and history of Patagonia's aboriginal people, as well as the region's natural history.

Your tour continues on to the beautifully landscaped cemetery, where you can admire the splendid mausoleums of pioneer families and a gravestone where the last Onas, extinct Fireland Indians, are buried.

Driving back to the town center, your next stop will be at the Plaza de Armas Square where you can view and photograph the Hernando de Magallanes Monument or browse at the souvenir stalls and from them back to the ship.

Note: At the museum, you must climb a flight of stairs to reach some of the displays, and most explanations are written in Spanish only.
